Hi all!

I’ve officially moved my site and have forwarded this blog address to my domain.

www.calliopespen.com

From now on I’ll just be posting there. Come visit, if you don’t mind the mess. I’m still unpacking:)

I’m back!  I think I have the site visible now. I’ve taken the redirect off of this blog for now. I’m only going to be updating on the new site. To visit me, please go to

www.calliopespen.com  and update your readers or links (totally optional, of course ;)

I still have some work to do, but I’m having fun playing around with a gra-ooovy new theme. Pop  in!!

Hi all!

So I’ve decided to make the move to WordPress.org using a self-hosted site. The URL should remain www.calliopespen.com and SUPPOSEDLY it will be a seamless transition. Hmmmm. Sounds too easy to me…

If I disappear from blogland for a while, it means I’m lost in cyberspace. Wish me luck!

UPDATE! Lesson #1: DO NOT CHANGE NAMESERVERS UNTIL YOUR SITE IS LIVE EVEN IF TECH SUPPORT SAYS IT’S OK.

Update your links to calliopespen.wordpress .com for now….stay tuned:)

No poetry today, well not from me, anyway. But I invite you to listen to this song from one of my favorite artists. I couldn’t find the original version anywhere, but this acoustic version is just as good.

I’m going to play this someday. I gave up on the guitar many years ago, but I still have one. Two actually. I know which one I’ll be using to play this. Hold me to it.

Oh good grief! Is this what it has come to??? Did I really write this???

This is the result of watching an MSNBC documentary, reading a book on poetic form, digesting a little Shakespeare, and mixing in a bit of melancholic obsession with the fall. (At least that’s what I’m going to tell The Bard when he haunts me in my dreams for sacrilege.) I’m also going to blame Linda Cassidy Lewis for commenting that “October rages.” (jk, Linda :) )

My husband hates this poem. I’ll consider that a compliment given his eternally optimistic disposition.

*with my apologies to The Bard

Severs victims limb from limb

…Life’s but a walking shadow

October rages Struts…. then heard no more.
