No poetry today, well not from me, anyway. But I invite you to listen to this song from one of my favorite artists. I couldn’t find the original version anywhere, but this acoustic version is just as good.
I’m going to play this someday. I gave up on the guitar many years ago, but I still have one. Two actually. I know which one I’ll be using to play this. Hold me to it.

Longtime Melissa fan here. The guitar makes me smile. Josh is self taught and it is often a backdrop at our house. Poetry and music, you go girl!

Of course you are! 😉 And so lucky to have a musician in your family. My mother’s side of the family has lots of musicians, and my brother can play almost any instument–all self taught. I have some catching up to do!
I Melissa, especially her early stuff. I saw her at West Virginia University in a very small auditorium years ago and it was incredible. I’ve always loved this song, and I’m determined to play it. Rock on;)

I was just thinking…now you will need to try your hand at lyrics to go with your melodies! I’m excited for us!

I’ll write if you sing? 😉

HA, nobody wants that! How about I learn the drums or dance in the background? 😆

In all honesty, I’m just curious how the comment will look, lol.

I remember M.E.! I haven’t seen her in years. And yet one more thing we have in common, D: I gave up on the guitar years ago too (out of high school).
Someday I’ll play an instrument. Right after I get the movie option on my second book. *Sigh*

Well….you do have some time on your hands now…..you could always pick it up again if you still have one laying around.
If not-well there’s always air guitar 😉

Well hell. I sat here and bawled like a baby. Haven’t heard that song in forever and guess I’ve been holding a lot of ‘stuff’ in today….so….thanks?….I obviously needed that! She’s amazing and so’s that song. Cheers and Namaste. 🙂

Well darn it, I didn’t mean to make you sad:(
But, soul cleansing is definitely necessary, so if it helped with that I’m glad 🙂

Oh! You didn’t make me sad!!! I’m just wired very expressively! I’ve been told my whole life I should’ve been born in Italy. And actually get asked on a regular basis what country I’m from. 😆 . Those words are just exactly what I was feeling. A GOOD release!
Loved it…..hadn’t heard it in YEARS, and I’ve never heard that slower version, which makes it all the more poignant for me! Cheers and Namaste. 🙂

Have you started lessons or looked for a teacher? Or even picked up one of those teaching things that I’ve seen in commercials? How fun to learn something new! I’ll hold your feet to the fire, young lady. 🙂
