Kreativ Blogger Award

Kreativ Blogger Award

I was recently pleasantly surprised (actually, shocked) to have received the Kreativ Blogger Award. A million thanks to Susan Sonnen, a remarkable writer who blessed me with this little honor. You can find Susan here: http://susanmuses.wordpress.com/. She is taking a little break from blogging, but there is so much to read on this lovely site you’ll be busy catching up for a while. Stop in, you will not be disappointed.

Let’s see…as a recipient, I am to post the award, link back to the person who awarded me, list 7 things I love and then pass the award on to the authors of 7 blogs I love. So here goes with items 3 and 4:

7 things I love:

1. Gardening (though I must admit I’m a bit less enthusiastic this year with a bumper crump of snakes residing in my yard)

2. Nature. I learn something new every day when I take the time to be still and watch life unfold.

3. Books. Since the time I first remember opening a book, I’ve been amazed at their ability to whisk me away to another place, cause me to think about things differently, or prompt deep reflection. Just words on paper, and yet so much power.

4. Epic historical movies. I’m a total sucker for these…

5. Trollbeads. Sigh. I received a Troll bracelet last summer and fell for this genius marketing strategy hook, line and sinker. I love them. Pandora bracelets/beads are also beautiful. Same concept. If you don’t have one of these, do yourself a favor and don’t get one.  They are highly addictive. You’ve been warned.

6. Subject matter that I love: Comparitive Religion, Spirituality and Philosophy

7. My sister. She is truly my soulmate, and I’d be lost without her.

Now of course, I adore my family but that really goes without saying…and my children are my reason for everything.

Okay, on to tasks 4 and 5–7 blogs I love and let the authors know they’ve been awarded. Here they are:

http://mnemosynewrites.wordpress.com/ Mnemosyne is a writer and has impressed the heck out of me with 2 incredible sestinas.

http://janflora.wordpress.com/  Janflora is the author of one of the first blogs I visited, and I continue to go back frequently.

http://ebbtide.wordpress.com/ Simply beautiful poetry

http://pamelavillars.wordpress.com/ Pamela is a poet and a source of encouragement for all writers

http://raspberr1es.wordpress.com/ Honest, sincere, beautiful poetry

http://joolspoetry.blogspot.com/ Julie is a songwriter and a poet. Her blog is fairly new, but already packed with goodies.

http://soulplexus.wordpress.com/ Brand new blog, still in its infancy, but already offers a few great poems. Doug is a poet and a sculpture, and the author of two poems that I wish I had written. You can find them here, along with others.

Take a few moments to visit the folks above, and don’t forget Susan.

Happy Friday and a great weekend to all!
